Living in a green-beutiful small village, Mawaddah was leading an ordinary life with her family. Her father was a farmer who had a paddy field to work in. But everything turned to be different when tsunami hit the village and orphaned many children, including Mawaddah.

My name is Mutia, but everyone knows me as Tia. I am eleven-year-old girl and almost killed during tsunami. When the deadly tsunami struck Banda Aceh, my family and I were swept away in its lethal waters.

Maintaining good relationship between our office and the orphans or the family is one of our programs. Therefore, our office conducts a visiting program monthly to observe the orphans’ progress and also as has been told before, to maintain good relationship.

The family are refugees from Bratunac. They are living in a small chateaue which was bought by the help of their neighbours. Unfortunately, this chateau is nothing more than a room without bathroom, kitchen nor a sleeping place.

One of the basic children’s rights is for the education. Unfortunately, many of them have a sense of rejection by their compeers, because of worse school’s bags or clothes. We wanted gave the hope and help to these children, to fill equally valuable as others by conducting this project. Thanks to Br Yusuf Islam the donors of Small Kindness BHOFF who has made this project successful.

Demushaj village is located in the middle of the mountain, where we can still hear voices of a life which is almost extinguished. Deep inside this mountain, living an old mother with her five daughters, following the warm days of summer and cold freezing winter.

Qur'an Surah 2:215

They ask you (O Muhammad SAW) what they should spend. Say: Whatever you spend of good must be for parents and kindred and orphans and the poor and the wayfarers, and whatever you do of good deeds, truly, Allâh knows it well.

Qur'an Surah 4:36

Worship Allâh and join none with Him (in worship), and do good to parents, kinsfolk, orphans, Al-Masâkin (the poor), the neighbour who is near of kin, the neighbour who is a stranger, the companion by your side, the wayfarer (you meet), and those (slaves) whom your right hands possess. Verily, Allâh does not like such as are proud and boastful.

At the beginning of the war in 1992 Fatima Avdi? and her family exiled from her hometown Višegrad to the small place of Žepa. In Žepa she lived until 1995 when the aggressor Serbian army was occupied this place. After that they went to Sarajevo to live. Her husband was a soldier in Bosnian army and he was injured and became an invalid.

During November, our nine scholars from different faculties gave 171 hours instructions. They continue with instructions in orphan's home Bjelave and Gazzaz. They helped these kids with English, German, Arabic and Bosnian language, Biology, Math and other school subjects if it's necessary. Work with these special kids made us even more humanize, they need not only help in studying but also a lot of attention and love. One smile and hug are very big for them, and our mission is to give them that and make them happy.

Kadic Hamida is a widow with five children, namely: Arnela- 9 years old, Fikret- 6 years old, Arnel- 5 years old, Amela- 4 years old and Almina- 2 years old.

Her husband died for war year ago and since the time they have lost the one who has supported the family for all the time. Moreover, with five small children, life seems to be harder for Kadic. At this time, she is the one who is responsible to support the family life; her role becomes both as a father and a mother for her children.

Small Kindness BHOFF got a donation (packet) for 100 pieces of handmade hat on 3 October 2006. The person who has sent the packet was Marcia A. Khan from Texas (5703C Green gate Drive).

In January we have our daily activities with teenage girls, students and teenager’s mothers. We are Alhamdulillah satisfied with these activities because it is very successful so we make it continuously. Our plan is to have same quality program for the whole school year if God wills.

Nasiha lives with 3 children, who are teenagers. In the beginning of the war, Nasiha, who was pregnant, with husband and 2 daughters, had to run away from aggressors in Olovo. She gave a birth of her son in August in the same year, so they had to fight to survive far away from their home.

Her husband, Mehmedalija (44 years old) went to defend his country, but in 1993 ALLAH S. W. T. A. took him; he passed away and went to better world, Ahireh.

December was the last month of the first semester in schools and it was very intense and difficult for children For that reason, our sisters had a lot of work to do. Responsible person for children in Bjelave and Gazzaz orphanage was satisfied with work of our volunteers and of course we will continue to work in February when the second semester will start. We can see from the pictures what the atmosphere was and how it was during this month

On the 4th day of Aidul Adha, our sisters from scholarship program and also some sisters from EMTEC programs spent two hours with orphans. Within this program, we distributed 45 small packets with 8 gifts inside (chocolate, toys, etc) for the orphans. And more over, one of the writers who is Senka Beslic, also gave 45 books for children as small gift.
